ENEX pilot training on 'Innovation management' at the University of Lodz

From 11-12 March 2016 the 2nd ENEX pilot training with focus on innovation management will be conducted at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz. The scope of the pilot will touch specific problems of knowledge commercialisation that are of particular importance to nanotechnology. The pilot will combine lectures and workshops on the following topics:

  • Introduction to nanotechnology in business
  • Assessment of the market value of knowledge/technology
  • Preparation of technology offers
  • Choosing the best strategy for commercialization of knowledge/technology
  • Technology commercialization – cases in higher education.

Workshop 'Fundamentals of Nanotechnology and Its Applications'

ENEX partner MESA+ / University of Twente is organizing a pilot training covering the nanotechnology content of the ENEX learning course in January 2016. The 3-day workshop “Fundamentals of Nanotechnology and Its Applications” will have the format of a classroom training, consisting of lectures (from both academia and industry), lab tours (NanoLab and BioNanoLab), and workshops on innovation processes and societal aspects of nanotechnology. Workshop language will be English. Participants of the workshop will receive a certificate of attendance.

The workshop will provide an introduction to the following subject areas:

  • Fabrication and characterization of nanostructures,
  • Early diagnostics of diseases,
  • Unconventional electronics,
  • Storage of renewable energy,
  • Societal embedding of nanotechnology,
  • Technology venturing.

The pilot training is addressing industrial companies, science organizations and consulting firms interested in this matter as well as graduates and post-graduates. An education / training in electrical engineering, applied physics, chemical engineering or any other applied science is recomended, but not obligatory.

The workshop is taking place in Enschede from 25-27 January 2016.

Participation in the training will be free of costs, except travel, accomodation and subsistence costs.
